Know the Invoice Is RealBefore You Pay It.

The AI back-office agent for freight brokers. Pisto checks every carrier invoice, rate con and POD in your inbox, flags fake carriers and changed bank details, catches the paperwork errors that leak margin, and hands your team only what needs a person.

The route

Every Load Leavesa Paper Trail

From the port to the dock, four documents follow the freight. Pisto checks that they agree.

Freight moving from a port to a warehouse A container ship under gantry cranes, a container yard, a truck hauling a container and a warehouse dock, with the freight documents labeled along the way: Bill of lading, Rate confirmation, Accessorials, Proof of delivery. The challenge

The Challenge ofFreight Back Offices

Every load creates paperwork that is still checked by hand, one document at a time. Large brokers build in-house tools. Mid-market brokers usually can't.

The stakes

Small Paperwork ErrorsBecome Real Costs

Freight paperwork records what moved, where, for how much, and who is responsible. When a document is wrong, late or missing, the problem doesn't stay on paper.

  • Freight sits stillA missing BOL or wrong shipping instructions can hold a pickup, a delivery or a customs release.
  • Margin leaks outA wrong rate, an unapproved accessorial or a duplicate invoice turns into an overpayment or a dispute.
  • Cash comes in lateNo POD, no invoice. Paperwork that doesn't match the load gives a customer a reason to hold payment.
  • Claims get weakerConflicting records make it hard to prove who owes what when freight arrives damaged or short.
  • Trust wears downWhen the shipper, broker and carrier each hold a different version, every error becomes an argument.
DocumentTypical mistakeWhat it costs
Rate confirmationWrong rate, missing accessorialsBilling disputes, lost margin
Bill of ladingWrong consignee, weight or commodityDelays, delivery disputes
Proof of deliveryNo signature or delivery dateLate payment, weaker claims
Carrier invoiceDuplicate or unsupported chargesOverpayment, rejected bills
Time recordsMissing or conflicting timestampsDetention and wait-time disputes

Regulators care too: Federal Maritime Commission billing rules require detention and demurrage invoices to carry accurate information and go out on time, or the billed party may not have to pay.

Fraud check

Stop FraudBefore It's Paid

Scammers pose as your carriers and ask to be paid somewhere new. Pisto already reads the emails and invoices where that shows up, so it checks every one before anyone pays.

  • Lookalike sendersAn address one letter off a carrier's usual domain, or yours.
  • Changed bank detailsA new account, routing number or remit-to compared with what was paid before.
  • Duplicate invoicesThe same invoice twice, or a second bill for one load.
  • Double brokeringA BOL or POD naming a carrier the load was never given to.
  • Risky PDFsDocuments carrying scripts or hidden files.

Pisto never asks the sender to confirm. Flags go to your team, with a reminder to call the carrier on a number you already have.

Rate check

Every Rate,Any Way You Read It

Pisto reads how each rate is quoted: flat, per mile, per hundredweight or per pallet, with the miles, the weight, the fuel and the currency. One tap shows the linehaul per mile, flat, per pound or all-in with fuel.

Set a benchmark for a lane once. Any rate con on that lane more than 5% off it comes to you as an exception, with the numbers.

What Pisto does with your mail and documents today, and what we're adding next. Ask us for the details behind any of it.

Your inbox
  • Read-only access to one dispatch inbox you choose
  • Reads PDF attachments; never moves, deletes or sends mail
  • Pisto never sends email or pays anyone; drafts open in your own email for a person to send

Try It onYour Rate Cons

  1. Send 15–20 old rate confirmations. Black out customer names and rates if you prefer.
  2. Get a report of exactly what Pisto caught and what it missed: fields read correctly, problems caught, false alarms on clean documents, and anything it missed.
  3. If it earns your trust, connect your inbox and run it on live loads, free for the pilot.

After the pilot: a monthly subscription based on your load volume, agreed with you before anything is billed.

Pisto reads each document's own currency and never mixes currencies. First pilots are with US brokers.
